Abstract
This session will start from a review of hypothesis testing and then introduce several tests for contingency tables such as simple bionomial test, Chi-square test for goodness of fit and independence, Fisher's exact test and McNemar's test for paired data. How to implement these tests in R will also be covered.
Instructor Biography
Dr. Jie Yang is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine, Stony Brook University. She is also the Director of Biostatistical Consulting Core in the School of Medicine, Stony Brook University. She is an experienced biostatistician in statistical education and collaborative research. She has been the PhD thesis advisor of several PhD students in statistics and has published about 200 papers in both statistical and biomedical journals.
Course Note
It is recommended that attendees have R installed on their computers before the start of the course.
