Abstract
Have you thought about exploring data in R but not known where to start? In this workshop we will show you how to import data into R, prepare data for analysis, analyze missing values, graph the distribution of each variable, and begin exploring the relationships among variables in the dataset, using both base R and tidyverse approaches.
Instructor Biography
Joyce Robbins is Lecturer in Discipline in the Statistics Department at Columbia University, where she specializes in data visualization. Currently she is a member of the R Forwards (R Foundation taskforce on women and other under-represented groups) teaching team, Program Chair elect of the Statistical Graphics Section of the American Statistical Association Section, and Education Track Co-Chair for the 2023 Symposium on Data Science and Statistics (SDSS).
